As A Man Thinketh

As a Man Thinketh is a wonderful little book by James Allen. I suggest that everyone read it, it is just a 68 page little pocket book. I especially like it because it is concise and very thought provoking. Indeed it should be since it is to help us engage our thoughts and guard our thoughts to creating the person that we are intented to be. Just fabulous.

Now with the last post, you may or may not have used the affirmation phrase every day. But I am going to share with you some ideas about why we need to say it everyday. The object of choosing and stating direct thoughts daily is a tool whereby we are stimulated to the discovery and perception of truth - that we are makers of ourselves by virtue of the thoughts that we choose and encourage. So would you rather be a winner or a loser? You will be, whatever your thoughts are. Take this seriously:)

"That mind is the master weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that, as they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness." - James Allen

This is literally food for thought :):)

You’re a Winner!

That’s right! You are a winner – completely and honestly.

Say it to yourself – “I am a winner!” I hope you said it with enthusiasm and passion. What do you feel like when you say it? Say it to yourself a few more times and in different tones and really take note of what you feel or think after you make this statement. This is key and vital. It let’s you know where your belief level is in yourself.

You may already be positive and optimistic, but are you really affirming that on a daily basis to enhance your life and purpose? Or you may think this is a bunch of crock and actually feel pretty hopeless about being happy and confident in yourself.

You may be a lot like me. Before I made a commitment to daily affirmations, I felt somewhere in the middle of the previous two categories. I felt like I was positive on the outside, but then realized that I was battling and even allowing a lot of negative self-talk to occur on the inside.

Either way, please let this weekly column inspire you to develop your highest potential and participate more in your life. The ideas that will be shared are not new, and they are not mine, but rest assured that I only steal from the best! There are many wonderful books and programs that teach these concepts. (First of all, I love the Holy Scriptures, then books like Standing For Something, You Were Born Rich, One Minute Millionaire, The Answer, and As a Man Thinketh)

There is a real science behind the idea and application of daily affirmations (since I am not a scientist I will just share the things that I have learned or experienced - all the research is included in the aforementioned books) First of all, decisions determine destiny. And a thought is a decision. Changing my thought patterns and establishing good habits has made all the difference in my personal happiness and well being as well as in my marriage and family.
I invite you to join me in the joyful journey of self-empowerment and discovery by affirming your true potential through daily affirmations.

Catch the win-fection now by stating (with emotion) these words daily:
I’ve decided that I’m a winner. I choose to develop the potential greatness in me. I say YES, to my divine potential.
